Simone's latest research is inspired by Joself Albers' preliminary classes taught during the Bauhaus in 1927-28.

Initial research concentrated on the process and investigation of paper folding, pleating and material manipulation.

Further development focused on exploring scale and reproduction through the media of digital print; translating the three dimensional structure to the two dimensional image, whilst preserving its inherent characteristics.

'Fold' was exhibited as part of University of East London staff exhibition ‘The Future Is…..’ - March 2016
